NW England, Cumbria, Lake District, Rydal Hall, Waterfall 01. Looking for something a little different to the standard Rydal Hall tourist photo we headed down stream with the hope of finding a better composition. We opted this low down viewpoint, just above the waterline, to catch the cascading falls whilst still capturing the bridge and autumn foliage in the background. With a focusing point front and centre on the foreground wet dark rocks contrast nicely with the bright flowing water. For additional contrast a sprinkling of fallen golden autumnal leaves rest atop the moss covered rocks leading inturn from rock to rock.
